The school has three locations. The principal one is in Cusco - Peru, You can also study in Pisac , Calca the sacred valley of the Incas about one hour from Cusco. Take advantage of studying at either or all of our locations, experiencing every different aspect of Peruvian culture.

Cusco: The department of Cusco is considered as Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity, which was the nest of the great Inka civilization and because of its wonders it hosts the biggest amount of tourists in Per. The city of Cusco offers to its visitors a variety of attractions.

The Meaning of the Word Cusco

Comes from the Quechua word QOSQO which means navel, it has quite a few meanings, one of the most important is "Center or navel of the world" which was given by the famous cusquenian writer Inka Garcilaso de la Vega.

  • Location: The department of Cusco is located in the south east region of the Peruvian Andes, at 72 00 away from west of the Greenwich meridian timeline.

  • Area: The department of Cusco has an area of 76,225 Km and the province of Cusco has an area of 523 Km.

  • Altitude: Cusco is located at 3350 meter above the sea level measured from the Main Square of Cusco.

  • Weather: It is quite cold and dry, it has two clearly noticeable seasons: the rainy season from November to March, when the temperature rises from 11C to 13C. And the dry season from April to October, with particular sunny days and very cold nights, the temperature stays on an average of 9C.

Pisaq: Pisaq is a picturesque town with colonial and mestizo charactersitics. Every tuesday, thursday and sunday they have a souvenir market on the plaza, and a mass in Quechua (only on sundays) with the presence of the local authorities. On top of the mountain,right on the back of Pisac, you can find the fabulous archeological complex the most outstanding remains are: Qanturaqay, Amaru, Punku e Intihuatana and Tanqanamanka, considered the largest Pre-Colonial remains in Latin-America.

The Meaning of the Word Pisaq

The term Pisac might come from the word in quechua Pisaqa which is the name of a bird that exists on this area. Other Quechua experts support the theory that the word comes from the name Cristbal Pisaq Topo who used to live in this area.

Calca: Right in the heart of the valley you can find Calca, a town which is surrounded by nevados such as Pitusiray and Sawasiray, the archeological ruins of Huchuy Qosqo (little Cusco) and the thermal baths of Machacancha and Minasmoqo are just a few kilometres away from this place. It has abeautiful country side.
